Candle Amnesty
Got a candle as a bridesmaid gift? Turn it in.
You stood next to her for nine hours in shoes you'd never pick. You held the bouquet, the train and the emergency safety pins. And then you got a candle.
It's still in the box. It smells like "Linen Breeze" or "Sweet Pea" or something else nobody has ever said out loud. It lives in the drawer with the other candle. You will never light it, and you will never throw it away, because throwing away a gift feels worse than keeping it.
We're offering a way out.
How Candle Amnesty works
- Take a photo of the candle. Box on or off. Bonus points for dust.
- Send it to us. DM it to @chimariva on Instagram, or email it to info@chimariva.com.
- Get 50% off one order at chimariva.com. We'll reply with your code.
Keep the candle, regift it, light it at last. We don't need it. We just need to know it exists.
Why are we doing this?
Because the bridesmaid gift is the one present a bride buys for the people who showed up for her, and most of them end up in a drawer within a month. We think it should be something she'll actually use: a Turkish cotton beach towel with her name on it for the bach trip, a robe for getting ready, a tote big enough for sunscreen and a bottle.
Every piece is embroidered in our small atelier in 1 business day and shipped UPS Express, on her doorstep in 1–5 business days. If it doesn't ship in 1 business day, you get $5 back per item.
